Shortly there will be a video posted onto the website, linked in to my practice’s website (www.nextphasedevelopment.co.uk) and onto YouTube, of the Masterclass that I have predominantly undertaken over the course of the past year based on how to deliver planning permission within the Green Belt and the Open Countryside.
This masterclass has proven extremely popular over the course of the year and I hope has been very helpful for self builders and individual developers in particular, who are in the process of understanding their position in terms of developing in those particular areas.
I will be repeating this masterclass within a couple of upcoming events as part of my Planning Doctor Clinics at the following shows:
- London Homebuilding & Renovating Show, Excel – 25th to 27th September 2015
- Northern Homebuilding & Renovating Show, Harrogate – 6th to 8th November 2015
- South West Homebuilding & Renovating Show, Bath & West Showground – 21st to 22nd November 2015
- National Homebuilding & Renovating Show, NEC 2016 – 14th to 17th April 2016
My presentations for the professional industry are now prepared for the forthcoming year. These presentations will consist of the following:
- “Case law updates and important precedent that has influenced the interpretation of the NPPF”
There have been a number of important Case Law rulings and High Court / Appeal Precedence that have been decided over the course of the past 12 months and had a significant effect on how the NPPF in particular should be interpreted in terms of defining sustainable development, housing and natural environment issues. Further to this, precedent has also created significant effects on issues relating to judicial reviews and environmental impact assessments and as such the presentation and subsequent Q&A is seen as an ideal and concise update or refresher to property professionals and the public sector alike.
- “A concise update to procedural and legislative changes within the planning system”
Given the pressures that are placed upon local authorities at the present time and discussions I have had with senior members of those local authorities that are worried that their teams are not having the requisite continuous training to keep up to date with procedural and legislative changes as they occur, this presentation and subsequent Q&A is seen very much as a definitive and up to date guide on the approach that should be taken on planning applications from the pre-application stage right through to making representations at appeals.
These professional talks will take place across the UK over the course of the next 12 months, however should you want to acquire my services directly you can contact me in relation to these lectures via the contact page on this website.
